Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP (Beta)
Found this over on Bink.nu
Shared computers are commonly found in schools, libraries, Internet and gaming cafés, community centers, and other locations. Often, non-technical personnel are asked to manage shared computers in addition to their primary responsibilities. Managing shared computers can be difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. Without restrictions, users can change the desktop appearance, reconfigure system settings, and introduce spyware, viruses, and other harmful programs. Repairing damaged shared computers costs significant time and effort.
User privacy is also an issue. Shared computers often use shared accounts that make Internet history, saved documents, and cached Web pages available to subsequent users.
The Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP provides a simple and effective way to defend shared computers from untrusted users and malicious software, safeguard system resources, and enhance and simplify the user experience. The Toolkit runs on genuine copies of Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home Edition, and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.

Microsoft not supporting MS Inbox
I just got the following from Microsoft about my application for the Hive. I picked MS Inbox as I thought it was the most Microsoft centric out of the following sites that I run that are Microsoft related. www.itnewslog.com, www.msinbox.com, www.melbourneppc.org. I've re-submitted my application using the user group I founded/run with 246 members - maybe that will work - yet I thought MS Inbox would have been fine. Maybe Scoble can help me get this sorted out?
Thanks for submitting an application for membership to The Hive. At this time, your application or group does not meet the requirements for admission into this beta program. However, we'll keep your application on file and contact you when the full program formally launches.

MSN Toolbar now in tabbed form
MSN have added tabbed browsing to the MSN Toolbar. So far I haven't been too impressed. One reason being that the whole IE screen and IE taskbar instance gets refreshed each time you cycle through the tabs along with the button to turn on tabbed browsing does not seem to stick. Mind you this is a first attempt, yet for now if your like tabbed browsing stick to Maxthon or Firefox.

Blogging my way around the world!
Channel9 have put out a contest to blog your way to Microsoft's Professional Developers conference for 2005. The main reason why I would love to make the trip over from Melbourne, Australia would be, to see the excitement that brought about a great site like Channel9. Since the last PDC Lenn Pryor and team started Channel9 to continue the buzz and excitement the PDC started. I would really like to be apart of that buzz and be able to share my experience with the community.

Who says Microsoft don't have an RSS aggregator?
I've posted about the Microsoft start.com sandbox project before. But this new addition was well worth a mention.
