AntiSpyware to be free

I had no idea what road Microsoft was going to take on this -- Pay or Free? While I commend them for releasing this product for personal computers at no cost. I can't help but think this could land them in hot water for anti-competitive behavior. Having a market already created for this type of product it's going to be bad for business. Although with all the criticism Microsoft get about malware on the Windows platform it was undoubtedly necessary for them to enter the market. Not only that, if they want to see the penetration that is necessary to solve this wide spread issue they needed to make this release part of Windows Update or more accurately by the time it gets released - Microsoft Update.
